Nice piece and really encompasses what Wilder and team to.

The critics are watching but not really seeing.

Long may it continue.

Absolutely. When Leeds or Burnley have a big win loads of

press coverage

None about our win it was all about Newcastle

Great summary Sam, I will be stealing the end few words to use against Wednesday and Leeds mates. Underappreciated. Overlooked. On top (-2).

Well said. I also think that one thing has been overlooked in all the rending of garments, wailing and gnashing of teeth in the aftermath of his “rant” (which it wasn’t, by the way) is that he didn’t say a single thing that wasn’t true.

You have hit the nail on the head regarding the easy labeling of Wilder because he happens to look like a half ton bag of hard standing. Rohl has delivered two of the snidest and most petulant interviews you will ever hear in the last few days, but delivered in his soft German tone from his boyishly handsome face, it is overlooked. No acknowledgment of anything the Blades have done this season (it seems no one has benefitted so much from parachute payments since D.B. Cooper - look it up!), and afterwards it was all about how they matched us and there was no difference between the sides. Well there is a 30 point difference for a start, and players who can play.

Rohl is in the fantastic position at the moment of being immune from criticism from fans and the local media, and I think he is starting to believe the hype. So he doesn’t have to answer for the terrible home record (it’s the owner, those pesky parachute clubs). Instead he basks in the odd comeback (with no mention of being rubbish to start the match), the glory of not being relegated last season (him and 20 other managers).

Top 6 form under Rohl last season according to my Wednesday mates. Top 12 form this season so they’ve regressed badly. But they still love him. Strange

We were overshadowed by Newcastle to be fair..... but for Sheffield..... the CITY IS RED....with a cracking manager to boot👍

This team , I feel, although technically not as good as the team we went up with two seasons ago, really knows how to dig deep and defend. I’m hoping that with a few additions we will put up a better fight, should we get back into the Prem.

Thanks, Sam

We're definitely not sexy compared with "some" clubs and in the eyes of others always carry with us that awful burden of "northern cloggers" etc, etc.

But hey, who cares? We know the truth, don't we?

"Underappreciated. Overlooked. On top (-2)." . . . yeah, sums it up exactly.

Sue.
