Great & very emotive listen....... how times have changed & your story will resonate with many of the older fans.

Thank you and here's to a good 2024/25 season with new pies!

What is strange is that this was the 1970s and 80s, but we were living pretty much the same life as my Dad did in 1930s rural Ireland. As you say, worlds away from how things are now. Although sadly I know there will be people in Sheffield living in the equivalent abject poverty and domestic abuse today.

Thanks again Tom; it's lovely to hear fans' personal stories.

I think smell and taste are the most important senses when we're recalling memories and yours were very evocative!

A very enjoyable piece, brutal at times regarding Tom's up bringing, but humerous and informative too. Nice to hear the lengths we have all gone to, to adore our local football club. As an Everton supporter, I have visited Bramhall Lane on more than 12 occasions since the 70s. It's one of them 'proper' football clubs.
