Sheffield United went into the unprecedented winter Word Cup break in second place in the Championship, albeit with a huge number of injuries threatening to derail the season completely. With only Iliman Ndiaye and Adam Davies representing their countries in Qatar, the three-week pause could only be a good thing for the Blades as we hoped to use the hiatus to nurse players back to fitness and back on the grass.
