Riley Roberts runs the rule over every member of the Blades squad: the key players, the question marks and the challenge of making it all fit (or not) - plus the manager
Lazy transfer policy is spot on, we’ve gone from an ill conceived AI approach to a ‘who do we know lads?’ approach. Our scouting and recruitment is back in the eighties whilst most of our rivals have structured their clubs properly in this are and are now benefiting.
A very fair summary and I can’t really disagree with any of it; my thoughts are pretty much the same.
Obviously this was written before the Fleetwood match, but I had to chuckle at the RND summary: “…despite what seems to be an ability to make one monumental error per game …” Many a true word and all that!
Things and events out of our control are rather frustrating at the moment; but all the more reason to keep the faith. I don’t really think a change of manager would make a difference … we’ve tried Selles and Jokanović!
(And when you remember we did get thrashed 8-0 by Newcastle United not so long ago, things don’t seem that desperate!)
"He hasn’t disgraced himself in his appearances this season thus far, despite what seems to be an ability to make one monumental error." Jinxed it 🙈
I don't disagree that we had a shit window, but trust seems to be a key driving force in decisions for Wilder this season - esp after we had to pivot to loans/frees only
Agree with all of this tbh.
I did get slightly anxious towards the end though, thinking that you’d somehow forgot about Jamie Shackleton.

Thanks, Riley
