10 - Very rare, near-perfect performance
Wes Foderingham – 7
Caught pretty much everything that came his way and even look more willing to have the ball at his feet. Impressed
Jayden Bogle – 6
Just like vs Liverpool, defended for his life, particularly in the 2nd half.
Anel Ahmedhodzic – 8
Absolutely monstrous and the perfect way to bounce back after a tough one last time out. Brilliant block to save the day.
Jack Robinson – 7
Consistently solid throughout the entire game, gutted he’s suspended after picking up another yellow.
Auston Trusty – 5
Less commanding than his defensive counterparts but still didn’t really do anything notably wrong.
Vinicius Souza – 5
Controversial this one but for me is clearly still learning his role. Wasn’t massively comfortable on the ball and was caught out of position a few times but had some nice passes when not under pressure.
James McAtee – 8
Extremely quiet up until his stunning goal, but from that point he was everywhere and a massive problem for Brentford until he was taken off.
Gustavo Hamer – 8
My MOTM, bossed the middle of the park. Covered all the ground he needed to and looks so much more effective played in his actual position.
Andre Brooks – 6
Went quiet towards the end of his time on the pitch but he was very bright in the first half and then almost set up a huge chance in the 2nd, great performance for a player of his experience.
Cameron Archer – 7
Probably his best performance for us aside from Everton (H). Won his duels, beat his man, set up chances, got into threating areas himself. Proper player.
Will Osula – 4
Was nice to see him get a proper chance at goal though even if his shot went wide but still really struggling to impact games.
Subs
Anis Ben Slimane – 6
Got into some lovely areas and very well could’ve had a goal. Very good performance for someone who’s had as little gametime as he has.
Max Lowe – 5
Came on and looked pretty solid. Didn’t make any mistakes.
Average Rating – 6.31
