This pod covers my favourite period of watching the Blades until Wilder mk1. I saw the Currie/Woodward side but really only remember the rapid decline from 75 onwards. Some fantastic memories, I had forgotten all about queuing for Man U and Barnsley tickets, going to Blackburn away that night. I don’t think you mentioned my top moment though, which was the mad game v Brighton; 3-1 up and cruising at half time, 4-3 down inexplicably with what seemed like seconds to spare, 5-4 winners with a ludicrous header off the top of John Francis’s tidy flat top. A fantastic listen, I can’t wait for the rest.

Obviously it all started with that Bristol play off, memorable for my toilet accident covered elsewhere in The Pinch archive!
