I mean I very much doubt I'll be watching it again! Agree with most of what was said on the pod about it although not sure I'd stretch as high as a 6 out of 10! The way it finishes at the end of a semi final makes no sense but hiring out Wembley probably way beyond the budget! Not sure if you said this on the pod either but the fact he is allowed to take the penalty after coming off the bench for his debut is bonkers!!
I started listening to this and have had to stop at the point Jimmy goes off with the stripper and her tattooed arse. Out of nostalgia, I bought the film on BluRay a year ago but still haven't re-watched it and now I think I need to inflict it on myself and the finish the pod. Thank you gents :-D
Another brilliant episode. It’s interesting how United were viewed back in the 90s - the go to team to represent the working class nature of the city (see also The Full Monty). Wednesday at the time clearly viewed as effete and foppish. I suspect it’s still the same, we are still the hard working symbol of the city.
